John

This is the first sermon in our new series from the book of John. In this sermon Nate Hobert preaches from John 1:1-18 on the major themes of John, "Revelation, Rescue, and Response."

Here we continue our series from the book of John, “That You May Believe” by exploring the life and ministry of John the Baptist from John 1:19-37. In this sermon Scott Sterner explored, “The Christ Centered Life” and what it is that we can learn from how Jesus influenced John the Baptist’s life and ministry.

In this sermon we continue in our series from the book of John with Zach Nielsen preaching, “Find and Follow” from John 1:35-51.

In this sermon Nate Hobert preached about how Jesus did a miracle that any Madisonian would love, He rescues a celebration that ran out of alcohol by turing 120 gallons of water into wine. This miracle points to a greater reality of who Jesus is and what his rescue means for us.

Zach Nielsen preaches from John 2:13-23 in our continuing series from the book of John, “That You May Believe”.

In this sermon we continue in our series from John with Scott Sterner preaching on, “Spiritual Birth versus Religious Worth”. In John 2:23-3:15 we will get a glimpse into Jesus’ view of true spiritual life as he interacts with Nicodemus, one of the leading religious leaders of the day.

This week we get the “cliff notes” version of the Bible from John 3:16-21. Nate Hobert helps us to consider the great love of God for this world as revealed through His son, and how this love rescues us from sin. This passage calls each of us to consider how we respond to this love.

In this sermon Zach Nielsen preached from John 3:22-36 on how we must decrease, so that God might increase.

In this sermon we explored John 4:1-26 with the message, “Thirst No More” based on Jesus’ conversation with the Samaritan woman at the well. Scott Sterner preached as we continued our series, “That You May Believe” from the book of John.

This week we launched a 6 week series on our vision as a church, the first being that The Vine exists for the purpose of glorifying God.
