Our Leadership
Zach Nielsen, Pastor
Zach is a teaching Pastor and elder at The Vine who specifically oversees the areas of leadership development and music. Zach is a graduate of the University of Northern Iowa and Covenant Theological Seminary. He is married to Kim and they have four children; Taylor, Autumn, Emery, and Mya. Zach can be heard several nights a month playing piano with the Zach Nielsen Trio, a jazz trio he started soon after arriving in Madison. Zach is also the author of popular Christian blog Vitamin Z.
Scott Sterner, Pastor
Scott is a teaching Pastor and elder at The Vine who specifically provides leadership for the overall missional development, communications, and operations of the church. Scott is a graduate of Iowa State University presently completing his Masters at Covenant Theological Seminary. Scott is married to Carrie and has five children; Hannah, Zach, Elizabeth, Isaac, and Aaron. Scott is also a professional photographer.
Nate Hobert, Pastor
Nate is a teaching Pastor and elder at The Vine who specifically oversee the areas of global mission and church planting. Nate is a graduate of the University of Northern Iowa and Reformed Theological Seminary. He is married to Amanda and has 3 children; Grace, Sam, and Elise.
